Service Appointments

Scheduling

Service appointments can be scheduled by calling (508) 401-8451 during business hours or by using our online booking system. We offer appointments Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Emergency service is available 24/7 for urgent situations.

Service Area

We provide service throughout Westwood, MA and the greater Greater Boston area, including Wellesley, Newton, Brookline, Lexington, Needham, Weston, Dover, Concord, and surrounding communities. Service availability may vary for locations outside our primary service area.

Access to Appliances

You agree to provide our technicians with reasonable access to the appliance(s) requiring service, including:

  • Clear access to the appliance and surrounding work area
  • Access to electrical panels, water shut-offs, and gas valves as needed
  • A safe working environment free from hazards
  • Presence of an adult (18 years or older) during the service appointment

Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that schedules change. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to other customers in need. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a service fee for future appointments.

Service Fees and Payment

Service Call Fee

A service call fee may apply when a technician visits your home to diagnose the appliance issue. This fee covers the technician's time, travel, and diagnostic expertise. The service call fee will be communicated when you schedule your appointment and is typically applied toward the total repair cost if you proceed with the repair.

Estimates and Approval

Before performing any repair work, our technician will provide you with a detailed estimate explaining the diagnosis, recommended repairs, and associated costs. No repair work will be performed without your explicit approval. If you decline the repair, only the service call fee will apply.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and checks. For larger repairs requiring special-order parts, a deposit may be required at the time of ordering. All prices are subject to applicable taxes.

Parts Pricing

We use genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts whenever possible to ensure the highest quality repairs. Parts pricing is determined at the time of diagnosis and may vary based on availability, brand, and supplier costs. Parts are warranted by the manufacturer and covered under our repair warranty.

Warranty on Repairs

Labor and Parts Warranty

All repairs performed by Sub-Zero Repair Westwood are backed by our 90 days parts and labor warranty. This warranty covers:

  • The specific repair work performed by our technicians
  • Parts installed as part of the repair
  • Return visits to address issues related to the original repair

Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

  • New or unrelated problems that develop after the original repair
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents

  • Normal wear and tear on components not replaced during the repair
  • Repairs performed by other service providers after our service

Warranty Claims

Limitations of Liability

While we strive to repair all appliances, some units may be beyond economical repair due to age, condition, or parts availability. In such cases, we will advise you of your options, which may include replacement. We are not liable for the cost of appliance replacement.

Pre-Existing Conditions

Our technicians will assess the overall condition of your appliance during diagnosis. If we identify pre-existing issues, damage, or conditions that may affect the repair outcome, we will inform you before proceeding. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage that was present before our service.

Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sub-Zero Repair Westwood's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Indirect Damages

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of food, loss of use, lost profits, or business interruption, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.

Customer Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the owner or authorized representative of the property where service will be performed
  • You have the authority to authorize repairs on the appliance(s)
  • The information you provide about the appliance and issue is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You will disclose any known hazards or conditions that may affect the technician's safety
  • You will secure pets during the service appointment
