Fitted into stock that predates it
The housing here is largely wood-frame two- and three-family and older single-family stock, with kitchens that were laid out long before anyone specified a panel-ready column. Frost had built up across the back panel again after another company simply scraped it away. He found a defrost sensor reading out of range, replaced it and thawed the cavity properly. No frost since spring.

Shingled Victorian, rear kitchen, and a doorway that barely takes a column. He got it out on straps without marking the casing. The condenser fan bearing was dry and dragging, which explained both the noise and the warmth.
