Each of these starts from a fault we were actually called out to. If one of them saves you the call, that is the point of writing it down.
- Sub-Zero Fridge Buzzing: Which Part It Is and How to Stop It To stop a fridge from buzzing, find the part making the noise: switch off an ice maker that has no water, melt frost away from the fan, vacuum a dusty condenser and tighten loose panels. A soft hum that pauses between cycles is normal.
- Sub-Zero Fridge and Freezer Not Cooling: What to Check, in Order When a fridge and freezer both stop cooling, check power and set points, clear the vents, vacuum the condenser and test the door seals first. If it is still warm a day later, a fan, the defrost system or the sealed system is the likely cause.

Work the supply from the stop valve inward before blaming the ice maker.
